Intel - Outside Lands Activation
We built an AR giveaway for Intel at Outside Lands that combined gamification with sustainability education. The experience drew crowds and delivered record engagement.

Bringing AR to the Festival
Intel wanted to create a standout activation at Outside Lands that would draw people into its tent and leave them with both a memorable experience and a message about sustainability. The challenge was to build an interactive AR experience that felt fun, rewarding, and educational at the same time.


Gamified, Educational, Memorable
WKND HRS designed and produced an AR giveaway experience built around a search for the golden fish. Guests explored the digital environment on site, selecting different fish to reveal either a prize or a sustainability fact. The experience combined gamification with education, creating an activation that was as engaging as it was informative.


Crowds, Engagement, and Impact
The activation became one of the most successful AR experiences Intel has launched to date. Attendees interacted for an average of more than two minutes, far surpassing industry benchmarks for AR dwell time. The golden fish hunt drew large crowds, educated guests on Intel’s sustainability messaging, and positioned the brand as a leader in creative and impactful experiential design.
