This project had one very simple goal: to create the biggest rave in San Jose history. Gordo wanted to shut down the block in the middle of the San Jose city center and host a legendary mini-festival that the people of San Jose would remember forever.

The primary challenge was managing the logistics of shutting down a major city block to accommodate a large-scale event. Coordinating with local authorities and ensuring safety measures were in place was critical. Additionally, we had to navigate the complexities of urban infrastructure while creating an immersive festival atmosphere.

Our approach was rooted in detailed planning and creative execution. We kicked things off by developing comprehensive technical drawings and stage schematics, which mapped out every element of the event—from the stage design to the placement of lighting, speakers, and fabricated elements. This allowed us to seamlessly integrate the bold, industrial aesthetic that Gordo envisioned with the logistical demands of shutting down a major city block.

Creatively, we worked to make the stage an immersive experience. We fabricated custom pieces that emphasized Gordo's signature style, making use of oversized speaker structures and industrial design elements. These elements were engineered and scaled up, with each piece meticulously crafted to fit within the urban setting while still delivering a high-energy, festival-like vibe.

The combination of precise tech specs, creative stage design, and strategic placement of visual and audio elements resulted in an electrifying setup. The lighting rig, sound system, and fabricated installations all worked together to deliver the unique, out-of-the-box expressionism Gordo is known for. Our focus on the planning and creative details made sure that this event was not just a performance but an unforgettable experience for everyone in attendance.
