OVERVIEW

LIV Golf set out to introduce the world to its teams with a bold, high-energy identity launch. The task was to create a series of global commercials that unveiled each team’s brand, roster, and captain, establishing a distinct personality for every squad while reinforcing the larger league identity. The challenge was not just to inform, but to generate excitement, visually differentiating each team while maintaining a cohesive and premium feel across all assets.

CHALLENGES

The scope of the project was ambitious: twelve unique, team-based videos had to be produced within two months, each incorporating 3D simulations, kinetic typography, and dynamic visual storytelling. These assets needed to serve multiple functions—not only as launch films but also as content adaptable for social media, broadcast transitions, and other marketing materials. The creative and technical demands were high, requiring the seamless integration of complex motion graphics, audio design, and real-world player photography to give each team a strong, individualized presence.

OUR APPROACH

To streamline production while maintaining originality, we built a series of 3D assets that could be interchanged across the films, ensuring efficiency without sacrificing creativity. Each video featured its own unique kinetic typography layout, delivering a fresh and dynamic feel for every team while adhering to the overarching LIV Golf visual identity. Player photos were strategically integrated into the compositions to reinforce the human element, making the teams feel personal and tangible to fans. The execution required a robust pipeline, leveraging Blender, Cinema 4D, Maya, and Final Cut Pro to develop and refine the final assets.

RESULTS

The impact of the team identity launch extended far beyond its initial release. The alpha versions of the assets became signature LIV Golf visuals, continuing to be used as core branding elements across broadcasts, transition clips, tournament print collateral, and social graphics. The campaign’s reach has been immense, generating over 2 billion impressions worldwide and solidifying LIV Golf’s visual presence in the sports industry. The project not only introduced the teams but set a new creative benchmark for how sports leagues can define and market their brand identities.
